Our after-school club is not a continuation of school, but rather a cool place where children get to do the things they love best! We’re based in the former Jewish Lyceum, a unique and impressive building with fascinating, separate rooms that each have their own theme. Even on our busiest days, we offer a haven of serenity, security, and belonging.
We tailor the activities to the children’s interests and needs, which means we ask the older kids what they’d like to see added to the program and what kind of toys and games they’d like, and we also set some ground rules together. This combination of inclusive decision-making, a peaceful environment, and structure adds to the appeal of our facility. Children have the freedom to do anything they like, from attending workshops to getting creative in our studio to curling up in a corner with a book.
Outdoors, they can engage in sports, take turns on the climbing equipment, or play games. During school vacations, we head over to the Jeugdland natural playground, or the children can be found running around in the schoolyard. We also introduce special educational themes for the children, each of which is linked to specific activities (“Farm life,” for example, includes a visit to a petting zoo.)
Our building is located right behind the Carré Theatre, while de Nederlandsche Bank (Dutch Central Bank) is right around the corner. Paid parking facilities are widely available.
